Futican regularly recruits for electrical engineering positions across our engineering, project delivery, and site operations teams. Current openings include Lead Electrical Engineer roles for offshore platform projects, Project Electrical Engineers for onshore and offshore installations, and Electrical Design Engineers for FEED and detailed engineering phases. Recent vacancies have included a Lead Electrical Engineer position requiring 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering with strong technical expertise in circuit design, power systems, and control systems . SPIE Services Nigeria, a partner in the region, has also recruited Project Electrical Engineers to serve as in-house electrical authorities across facilities in Nigeria, overseeing the full electrical lifecycle from design concept through construction supervision and as-built documentation . We also hire Senior Electrical Technicians with 5+ years of offshore oil and gas experience to conduct inspections, maintenance, and repair of power distribution, switchgear, motors, generators, and control systems . Roles are based in Lagos, Port Harcourt, and offshore locations across Nigeria’s producing basins.

What We Look For

We seek electrical engineers who combine technical competence with practical field experience. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution, with registration with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) being mandatory for professional roles . We value experience in the oil and gas industry, particularly with offshore platforms, FPSOs, or major onshore facilities . Technical competencies include proficiency in electrical design software (AutoCAD, ETAP, SKM PowerTools), strong understanding of power distribution systems, motor controls, protective relays, and applicable codes and standards . We look for engineers who can supervise construction works, manage contractors, and ensure compliance with safety protocols. Beyond technical qualifications, we value leadership, problem-solving ability, and a commitment to safety qualities that define our project teams. For senior roles, we require 10+ years of experience with 5+ years in leadership positions . For technician roles, 5+ years of offshore experience is typical .
